Efficient, friendly, and professional
Thanks for the wonderful venue for our conference at Hotel St Francis. Not only was Santa Fe a beautiful location with tons of wonderful restaurants, galleries, and shops nearby, but the hotel was our cozy spot in the middle of it all. The food, as remarked upon by almost every attendee, was outstanding, and the service efficient, friendly, and professional. As one participant said, “I attend conferences all the time, and this was the best food I’ve ever had at one.” You all made our job easy as hosts for this national conference.

It is within walking distance to spectacular historical sites, delicious food, and great shopping!!! My family would definitely stay at the Hotel St. Francis when we return to Santa Fe!

Historic Unique Hotel with Relaxed FeelWe loved the privilege of being able to stay in the oldest hotel in Santa Fe. Comparing this hotel with some of the bigger newer ones is like comparing apples with oranges. Don't expect a conventional hotel. It is old, quaint, has lovely historic photos on the walls and friendly staff. There is a spacious indoor lobby and outdoor seating on the large street porch. We had a deluxe queen room on a corner on the second floor and joy of joys, could open the windows on each side and get fresh air and hear the quiet street noise. Bathroom was basic but adequate. Towels although clean, had a distinct unattractive gray appearance. There is no room service but the on site privately run restaurant is excellent and the bar has the best barman in town. A coffee machine and amply supply of coffee was supplied to the room on request. It is one minute from the plaza and a wonderful collection of restaurants. If you want a unique experience in the centre of town consider this hotel.

Serene, Gracious, Affordable Historic Hotel Right on the PlazaI am old enough to remember Disney 's Zorro TV series. How I loved the gracious Spanish rooms with their high ceilings, massive furniture and wrought iron staircases. The Hotel St. Francis is a visit to that world, only it's real, not a Hollywood set. The recent renovation preserves its historical character yet all the modern comforts are there, along with a friendly, helpful staff and hospitable touches such as a citrus water station in the lobby. The air smells deliciously herbal, and concierge Inger is a special treasure. The location is perfect, right on the square. We definitely will be back.

Perfect Location, Old Mission CharmMy husband and I stayed here when we passed through Santa Fe on a road trip. The location is unbeatable, you are within walking distance of the plaza, shops, and restaurants. It is also right across the street from my favorite Santa Fe breakfast spot, Cafe Pasqual's. I loved the old Spanish style stucco throughout. Its design is simple, but that is in keeping with its historical past. I found it very classy, especially next to many of the businesses in Santa Fe that can go a little overboard with "Southwestern" decor.

Lovely HotelHotel St. Francis is austere in terms of décor-humble with muted tones which is befitting it's namesake. The simplicity of the décor is what makes the Hotel St. Francis so lovely. My husband and I had taken advantage of a Groupon offer and we'd made our reservations months before our actual weekend stay. I had all of my paperwork handy, but the folks at the front desk didn't need to see a thing. They even let us have a choice of two different rooms! Even though it was chilly, we couldn't resist opening the European style windows (no screens) that open up to the fresh air. I can imagine that this feature is especially nice in warm weather. We couldn't believe how comfortable the bed was and the shower had great water pressure. You have to treat yourself to a cocktail at the hotel bar- the Secreto-the bartender brings the science of "mixology" to a whole new level and is amazing to watch. The hotel restaurant, Tabla de los Santos has a new chef and they offer up a farm to table menu. We ate breakfast there twice and everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The service was impeccable. Also, I saw a reviewer indicate that there is no coffee pot in the room. We simply asked the front desk for one, and they gave us everything we needed to make ourselves a nice hot cup in the morning. Lastly, you can't beat the location...one block off The Plaza. We enjoyed our brief stay very much and will return as soon and as often as we can....especially if they put out another Groupon offer!

I always enjoy coming to Santa Fe, but this trip was by far the best! The Hotel St. Francis has excellent service and is in a great location! Everyone was helpful and willing to help us in anyway they could. The room was cozy and tastefully decorated. Not to mention the restaurant was delicious!!!

A minimalist room, small, but quaint. Older windows actually open, there is a step up to the bath. Nice front porch to relax in sun. Good location within walking distance of shop, restaurants, and sites.

A Really Neat Place with a Great Bar!Stayed here for night on my trip to Santa Fe. Its very old but absolutely adorable. They did a pretty good job updating it as it is the oldest hotel in the area. They have a very cute bar and restaurant in the hotel. The bar makes some very unique and interesting cocktails which I absolutely loved. They have a smoked sage margarita that was the best drink I have ever had and have tried to duplicate many times with no success. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the area and are able to recommend places to go.

Simple, Historic, Romantic EleganceStayed at this lovely hotel with my hubby for a couple of nights. It has a very soothing , romantic palette, particularly after being immersed in all of the colorful art and surroundings of Santa Fe. The furnishings, lighting, black and white photos adorning the halls gives this structure an authentic feel of yesteryear. The rooms are smaller, sinks are in the main room and the floors are bare natural wood. The bathroom is a small stepup and simply renovated sparing the historic white octogan tiled floors. The rooms were clean although my mom's room linens were not changed. The restaurant(Tabla) serves quality food although it is a bit pricey. The bar(Secreto) is wonderful and serves great tapas and fab drinks. The service is excellent, The front desk staff is helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. Parking is about $11/night. Only gripe is that there should be coffeemaker available in the room. You have to order it and then it is brought to you timely. we would stay here again. Very romantic place.

Simply MarvelousIf you are looking for an enchanting hotel in Santa Fe don't miss the Hotel St. Francis. Built in the late 1880 it is in the heart of the city close to everything. Front desk personnel as well as the rest of the staff couldn't have been nicer. I reserved a king room and when we arrived, they had upgraded us to a king deluxe. When is the last time you have seen wooden floors in a hotel room! Just loved it!
