The Hotel St. Francis is a charming setting for your Old World wedding. Located in Santa Fe, New Mexico one block south of famous Plaza, it is the only city hotel listed on the National Registry of Historical Hotels. Santa Fe is a town steeped in mystery and romance, dating back to the 16th century. The town boasts its affectionate nickname "The Different City", derived from its old adobe buildings, huge cottonwood trees and its authentic native craftsmen.
The Hotel St. Francis shares in this history and charm. It was built in 1923 to replace an older structure, which burned to the ground in a spectacular but mysterious fire.
Renovated in 1986 the hotel has been selected by United Airlines Hemisphere Magazine as one of the 50 Best Hotels in the world.
The lobby of the Hotel St. Francis with its 1920's grandeur and southwestern warmth is a favorite location for weddings and receptions. A massive stone fireplace with European cupids watching from overhead provides a perfect backdrop for the ceremony or toasts.
A pair of newlyweds will enjoy the gracious patio surrounded by vine-covered walls and decorated with flower-filled urns or the lovely veranda, sipping their champaign while they watch the moon rise over the mountains.
The beautifully decorated meeting room with large windows overlooking a courtyard provides a private dining area.
